Sonrise Worship Center is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at SWC.
Small Group
Often smaller groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger group. For that reason, Sonrise has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group varies but stays small enough for easy interaction. Check for times and directional information and get connected!

Children’s Church

Our Sunday morning Kids’ Church is filled with excitement, worship/music, teaching, arts and crafts and so much more. Sundays 10:30am.
Our Wednesday kids group, “The Lockeroom”, is a time of discipleship, games, and tutoring if kids need help with homework. Also a light meal is provided for the kids prior to service. Wednesdays 7:00pm.

Youth Ministry

Our youth group is broken up into two groups. Our high school and early college group and our middle school group, they meet each Wednesday night for a time of discipleship, and interaction with one another, and the word. The youth are also engaged in outreach, our music ministry and monthly fun events.
Young Adults
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Sonrise Worship Center provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.
Women’s Ministry

DIVINE – Daughters Inspiring Victory Integrity New Beginnings Encouragement. The women’s ministry is filled with exciting events, monthly meetings and fellowships, seasonal events and outreach ministries.
Men’s Ministry

The Rock exists for the discipleship, fellowship, and strengthening of the whole man. We meet for monthly mens breakfast, fellowship times, camp outs, work days, and weekly Wednesday morning coffee and devotion at Starbucks on 54 and Collier Parkway.

God-honoring worship is something for which we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry here at Sonrise Worship Center, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Ushers

The usher team at Sonrise Worship Center fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is an integral part of church life.
Security Team

Our security team is a state of the art team that assists our Pastoral staff, ensures the saftey of our facilities, ministries and children during our worship times and activities.
Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Sonrise Worship Center. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Our Pastoral staff offer their assistance through counseling and prayer. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse. We also offer our services in performing weddings and pre-marital counseling.
