Where Can I Serve?

God has placed a mandate on Sonrise Worship Center much greater than just “the church atmosphere”. Don’t get me wrong we love doing church, but even more we love being the church. Because we believe in prayer and discipleship, Sonrise folks are prepared when God lays the desire to “Reach” on their Hearts.

 

Helps Ministry:

We love to lend a hand where we are needed. Our helps team stands ready to serve the church in emergencies, hospital visitation, food preparation, prayer chain, funerals, weddings, or just filling in where and when asked.

Community Outreach

Our passion for our neighbors in Lutz, Hillsborough, and Pasco County are beyond words. We are here to serve you in many ways, and many more opportunities are coming. Our desire is to see our community get back on their feet by providing food, supplies, ministry in the park, clothes, shoes, community days, prayer and counsel, backpack give aways, blankets for the homeless, and programs that equip people with the tools they need to change their situation.

World Mission

We support ministry locally and around the world through giving and actually setting out on mission’s trips. Our mission’s giving supports Church of God World Missions which serves through the work of missionaries, training centers, school of ministries, orphanages, feeding centers and churches  around the world in neraly every continent. We also support local missionaries and childrens homes.

 

Somebody Cares Tampa Bay

We support our community in a variety of ways by participating with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, other churches, and many local businesses. Back to school back packs and supplies where we help students get back to school with what they need, and Carefest Tampa where we join our city on a campaign to work projects for the elderly, disabled and single parents are just to name a few areas.

 

Prayer Warriors

At SWC you will quickly find that we firmly believe in the Power of Prayer. Jesus Christ is the door to everything we do, and prayer is the key. A strong focus on prayer is placed upon everything we do before we do it. We teach on it, we encourage people to live a life of prayer and we offer opportunities of prayer together in our church body.

Friday Night Intercessory Prayer 7:00 pm in the Youth room where we focus on worship, intercession prayer and unified prayer for our church family and ministries.

Sunday Mornings 10:15 am pre-service prayer in our prayer room located at the end of the Hall.

In every service we take time to focus on prayer not because we have to but because we believe in it so strongly.

We have a prayer chain in which you can call or email and upon your approval your requests will be prayed over by our intercessory team.

We have a prayer box located in the altar area for written requests and praise reports unto the Lord.
